Penelope Jean

Birth is incredible. There is something about getting to witness life at its newest that is awe inspiring and reminds you of how precious the gift of life is. God's creation is certainly evident when you witness the strength and vulnerability a mother possesses when she brings her child into the world, when you look into the eyes of a brand new newborn and when a mother sees her baby for the first time. It truly is miraculous.

I was blessed to witness Penelope's birth. I not only got to be the photographer but I was also blessed to help participate in prayer and well, I almost caught Penelope as she arrived!

Penelope is baby girl number four into this amazing family, she came into this world like a whirlwind and I believe she will also be that way for the Lord. A whirlwind that catches people up in love and compassion.

Side note: Dad and Mom are loyal Cougar fans and well, my family is loyal Husky fans. I joked with them that I would take as many photos at the hospital incorporating the UW signature just to give them a hard time.
