Letters to Our Daughters - March 2015 - Lila

Dear Lila,


              Your birthday is SO close! I cannot believe you will be FIVE in just 4 more sleeps! You are such a spit fire. You can hold your own so well, get down and dirty and yet be as girlie as can be. You have a tender heart for others and I can tell you feel others emotions when you show such amazing concern. I truly believe you have the gift of compassion & mercy. It blesses me to see how you embrace others and are quick to ask people to be your friend upon the moment you meet them. Your laughter is contagious and you enjoy making people smile and you succeed well at it. You have an obsession with telling the silliest of jokes and I think the laughter you have from them is what gets me more than anything. Confession: I am like that as well. RUH-ROH. ;)
This year we got to watch you make the decision on your own to get baptized. This was a very big deal and your Papa and I couldn't have been any more excited for you. It was so sweet watching you profess your love for Jesus.
When you pray it is so genuine. You don't just pray in "ask" but you pray as if you were telling God about your day and it is inspiring. I hope you never lose that sense of conversation with Him.

Lila Bean, my prayer is that you continue to be the genuine girl that you are and all that spit fire and stubbornness is used for the Kingdom. I pray that you grow in your gifts God has given you and that your Dad and I can help you grow and harness those. I pray that your boldness never die out and that it is a constant in your life. You are a lovely young girl and I am so blessed to be your Mama. I hope and pray you know this all the days. In Jesus name. Amen.

I need an eye patch Mom! Yeah my little improviser grabbed my lens cap and a head band ;)

 We had a fun impromptu shoot which you actually decided you wanted to pose for me! Although it was only 10 minutes long it was totally worth it. Love these of you my sweet girl!
